Graphics Import - Import graphics from feature themes (convert shape to graphic)
With this function you can import graphic elements from themes and add them to the view. Colors and symbols will be taken from the legend of the theme, so all imported graphics are totally identical with the original shapes (comparable functions of other extensions are called Convert Shape to Graphics but don't keep colors and symbols). Annotation themes can't be imported with this function (to convert annotation features to graphic labels use the function Annotations Import).
- Themes: Select the themes (type Point, MultiPoint, PolyLine or Polygon), whose shapes should be converted to graphics.
- Attach Graphics to Theme: Attaches the imported graphics to a theme (corresponds with the ArcView command Graphics - Attach Graphics), i.e. they are only visible if the theme is visible. You must activate the checkbox before you can choose a theme. Deactivate the checkbox if you don't want to attach the graphics.
- Features: Selected uses only the selected, All uses all features. The number of the selected and of all available features is displayed behind these two options. If no features are chosen, you can't run the function (the button isn't active).
- Click on the button to run the function. When finished, the status bar shows the number of imported graphics.
